Amy Cappelli


Amy Cappelli is a freelance digital illustrator and writer located in Buffalo, NY. Her editorials and essays on family and careers have been published in The Amherst Bee, The Buffalo News, and Mamalode Magazine (both print and web issues). And, her short story, Red Raspberries, won second place in the 2011 Family Circle Magazine Short Fiction Writing Contest. Currently, she manages a blog titled, This House Gets Crazy at Three O’Clock ( where she writes and illustrate stories inspired by her experiences raising four children (ages 16, 14, 10, and 3) with four equally exasperating and exhilarating personalities.

Amy has been illustrating professionally for 12 years. Her previously published works include childrens’ picture book illustrations for Michele Snyder’s For Freedom; Connie Johnson’s Say It! Play It! Little Readers Series and Baby Jenna: A Story of the Terrible Twos; Debby Carroll’s serial story, Moving!; and Rebecca Hernandez’s Kylan’s Trip to Heaven. She has also created logos/brand identity for small businesses and non-profits such as Jammie Johns Thermal Underwear, Nature's Harmony and Frederick Law Olmsted School at Kensington in Buffalo, NY; and t-shirt and greeting card designs for various individuals.
